The voucher was worth £30 and then I paid £8 extra to get a 2 week gel manicure and the Bluewater Nails Inc inside of House of Fraser.
After a bit of a shaky start (my technician broken down so my appointment was pushed back an hour & half - not a problem in Bluewater!) I picked out 'Old Bond Street gel effect' and purple glitter on my ring fingers.
At Nails Inc they use their own gel polish as a base, their normal gels on top then topped with another layer of their gel polish, all with the UV lamp in between.
I've had Shellac gels before in cheaper high street nail salons. This photo was taken a week and two days after my appointment and there is definitely less grow out than I've had before, I think that's down to the care she took on removing my cuticles and getting the colour right up to the edge of the nail.
Because of the lateness of my appointment the manager gave me a free gift set of polishes - bingo! She then offered the loyalty card scheme they had available - if you paid for your next appointment up front, you'd have todays star ticked off, the next would be ticked off at your pre-paid appointment and number 3 would be free. So after some quick partitioning and recombining (teacher talk!) in my head that worked out that I'd be getting 3 gel manicures for the price of 3 because I was also using my gift voucher! Bigger bingo!!
The girls in the Bluewater shop were lovely depsite it getting very busy and some very demaning customers, certainly will be the store I'll make the journey to from my place in SE London for my next appointment after Christmas, I'm thinking subtle sparkle nude?
